We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Mechanical Design Engineerto lead the development of next-generation, handheld surgical tools. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of complex mechanisms, rotating systems, and high-precision mechanical design, reminiscent of high-performance power hand tools.
In this role, you will ensure the highest standards of safety, ergonomics, and manufacturability.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Focus: Mechanical Design & Innovation (approx. 70%)
Mechanism & System Design:Conceptualize, develop, and refine complex mechanical designs, rotating systems, and intricate mechanisms for handheld surgical devices.
Robotic Integration:Design robust mechanical interfaces
Design for Excellence (DFX):Apply strict DFM (Design for Manufacturing)and DFA (Design for Assembly)principles to optimize product quality, yield, and cost.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure seamless electro-mechanical integration.
Secondary Focus: CAD Modeling & Documentation (approx. 30%)
Advanced CAD Development:Create robust 3D models and high-quality, production-ready 2D drawings.
Data Management:Manage the full product lifecycle and CAD data integrity within a strict PLM environment.
