As part of our ASPAC Shared Services team, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate and timely payroll outcomes while supporting employees, managers and People & Capability teams with payroll-related enquiries. Working in a fast-paced environment, you'll be responsible for maintaining payroll data, processing employee lifecycle transactions, identifying discrepancies, and helping ensure payroll compliance across a large and diverse workforce.

In this role, you will:

  • Process payroll transactions across the employee lifecycle, including new starters, position changes and terminations.
  • Maintain employee payroll and HR data, including tax, superannuation, deductions and allowances.
  • Respond to payroll enquiries with a customer-focused approach.
  • Support pay run activities, adjustments and off-cycle payments.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and escalate issues where required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process excellence.
  • Demonstrate initiative, accountability and a strong work ethic when managing competing priorities in a high-volume environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and contribute positively to a supportive, team-oriented culture.

Serco is a place for you

We're looking for people who are detail-oriented, adaptable and thrive in a team environment. Payroll experience is highly regarded, however we're also keen to hear from candidates with administrative, customer service, finance, shared services or other transferable experience.

You may be a great fit if you have:

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment.
  • A team-first mindset and willingness to learn new systems and processes.
  • The confidence to take initiative, ask questions and continuously improve the way work is delivered.
  • Experience with SAP, ServiceNow and Microsoft Office applications is advantageous.

Most importantly, we're looking for people who are curious, resilient and collaborative. If you're looking for an opportunity within a large, global organisation where you can learn, develop and build a long-term career, we'd love to hear from you. We welcome applications from people of diverse backgrounds who bring a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and a genuine desire to grow.
