Position Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Sr. Staff Product Manager to own the developer experience, ecosystem, and AI skills strategy for the Lux Framework. This leadership role requires deep technical credibility, cross-functional influence, and the ability to evangelize and build community around developer-centric AI capabilities. You will drive adoption, shape the platform's direction, and serve as the voice of developers across ServiceNow.

Key Responsibilities

Developer Experience Strategy

• Own the end-to-end developer experience for Lux Framework, from onboarding to mastery
• Define the developer ecosystem vision what experiences, tools, and skills make Lux indispensable
• Establish developer experience principles, guidelines, and standards across AI skill development
• Identify friction points and remove barriers to developer adoption and productivity
• Champion developer feedback into product decisions across all teams

AI Skills Portfolio and Ecosystem

• Define the strategic AI skills portfolio for Lux
• Set priorities and roadmap for skill development based on developer needs and market opportunity
• Own the evaluation framework and quality standards for all AI skills
• Partner with Engineering and Research to ensure skills are performant, reliable, and developer-friendly
• Establish best practices for skill creation, testing, and iteration
• Cross-Functional Leadership and Influence
• Lead collaboration across Product, Engineering, Research, Design, and Go-to-Market teams
• Drive alignment on developer experience priorities and timelines
• Escalate blockers and champion developer needs at leadership level
• Influence roadmap decisions to ensure rapid iteration and time-to-market
• Build trust and credibility with technical teams through deep product knowledge

Developer Evangelism and Community

• Be the face of Lux to the developer community-authentic, credible, and accessible
• Plan and execute evangelism programs like podcasts, webinars, demos, workshops, and conferences
• Engage with developer communities
• Identify and partner with developer advocates and influencers
• Create content that resonates with developers
• Lead feedback loops, gather developer insights and translate them into product direction

Go-to-Market and Execution

• Own the developer-focused GTM strategy for new Lux features and AI skills
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, and CSE teams to drive adoption and expansion
• Define success metrics and KPIs for developer experience initiatives
• Drive velocity and speed to market-champion lean execution and rapid iteration
• Establish feedback loops to quickly validate and iterate on features

Technical Strategy & Innovation

• Maintain hands-on technical knowledge of Lux, AI models, and developer workflows
• Challenge Engineering and Research with ambitious but achievable goals
• Identify emerging trends and opportunities in AI-assisted development
• Make informed trade-off decisions between developer needs, technical constraints, and business priorities
• Represent ServiceNow's perspective on the evolving AI developer tools landscape

To be successful in this role you have:

• Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
• 12+ years of overall software product management experience with specific experience within developer-facing products or ecosystems
• Prior experience and background with hands-on software development
• Deep expertise in developer tools, APIs, IDEs, developer platforms, or similar categories
• Proven track record shipping multiple products that developers love
• Experience with AI/ML products
• Demonstrated cross-functional leadership with influence
• Strong communication and evangelism skills-comfortable presenting to developers and executives alike
• Strong prioritization skills and the discipline to focus on high impact activities
• Experience defining and capturing product requirements and transforming them into a product roadmap
• Deep curiosity about customer needs and a track record in building customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions
• Experience driving solution development through big-picture solution development
• Ability to serve as a team lead, and coach employees at lower levels

FD21

For positions in this location, we offer a base pay of $190,900 - $334,100, plus equity (when applicable), variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location. We also offer health plans, including flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) Plan with company match, ESPP, matching donations, a flexible time away plan and family leave programs. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
