Position Overview

SharkNinja is seeking a Vice President & General Manager, Pure Players, Americas to lead and scale our Amazon business across the United States and Canada. Reporting to the Global General Manager, Pure Players, this leader will drive the Americas P&L and deliver profitable growth across both 1P (Vendor) and 3P marketplace models.

Amazon in North America is one of the most competitive, fastest-moving, and most data-rich environments in consumer goods. Success here requires more than strong account management. It requires a leader who has run a digital-first business at scale - reading signal quickly, building a clear investment case, and developing an organization whose advantage compounds rather than resets every quarter. Building a futureproofed, agile operating model will be critical to success.

The ideal candidate has led a large, digital-first P&L and grown it faster than its market. Riding a category tailwind is not the same as outperforming, and we are looking for candidates who can clearly distinguish the two in their own track record.

This role operates within SharkNinja’s global Pure Players strategy and governance framework, in close partnership with SS&A, Media, Finance, Brand, and Supply Chain. It requires strong executive presence, the ability to influence senior stakeholders internally and externally, lead high-stakes joint business planning, and represent SharkNinja as a strategic partner to Amazon leadership across the U.S. and Canada.

Key Responsibilities

Americas P&L Leadership & Strategy

  • Drive the Americas Pure Players P&L across the U.S. and Canada - revenue, margin, contribution, and market share - with accountability for delivering the plan.
  • Develop and execute the Americas marketplace strategy across 1P and 3P/DTC models, including channel mix, category prioritization, assortment architecture, and new launch sequencing, aligned to global strategy.
  • Build and defend the investment case for how resources are deployed across categories, media, content, pricing, and headcount, partnering with global leadership and Finance to secure alignment and approval.
  • Surface strategic trade-offs between near-term delivery and long-term growth transparently, with a clear recommendation and the analysis behind it.
  • Lead joint business planning with senior Amazon leadership, influencing long-term growth strategies and investment priorities.

E-Commerce Sales & Sales Operations

  • Own commercial performance: POS growth, market share, and gross margin accretion, managed at the category and item level rather than in aggregate.
  • Lead negotiation and terms strategy with Amazon across both the U.S. and Canada.
  • Own demand forecasting, inventory planning, and trade spend management, held to a standard of forecast accuracy and in-stock performance the wider business can plan against.
  • Manage margin-to-contribution targets, balancing topline growth with bottom-line profitability.
  • Establish the operating cadence - the KPIs, reviews, and dashboards that make performance legible and accountability clear.

E-Commerce Marketing: Media & Content

  • Own retail media strategy and budget, including Amazon Ads and Gross Vendor Funding, managed to efficient traffic acquisition and defensible share of voice.
  • Own content and conversion end to end: detail page quality, A+ content, brand store experience, imaging, video, and reviews strategy.
  • Drive the full funnel against the levers that move it - traffic, conversion rate, ASP, AOV, retention, and LTV - with a clear point of view on which lever to pull when.
  • Ensure global brand strategy is executed with local sharpness, in partnership with Brand and Creative teams.

Data Analytics & Science

  • Lead the analytics and data science function supporting the business, including the modeling and reporting foundation on which commercial decisions rest.
  • Establish a single source of truth for performance - defined, governed, automated, and trusted by leadership.
  • Shorten the insight-to-action loop, reducing time from signal to decision and holding the organization to evidence rather than anecdote. Build the future agentic commercial operating model today.
  • Advance an AI-native operating model, using automation and AI to compress cycle times and expand what the team can accomplish.

Cross-Functional Pod Leadership

  • Build and lead a high-performing, cross-functional Americas e-commerce pod inclusive of Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing, Media, Content, Analytics, Finance, and Supply Chain, aligned to one set of commercial outcomes.
  • Treat talent as a first-order responsibility: partner with Talent to hire above the current bar, develop leaders who outgrow their roles, and address underperformance early.
  • Elevate organizational capability across the U.S. and Canada, building scalable processes and deep channel expertise.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, speed, intellectual honesty, and data-driven decision-making.

Executive Influence & Strategic Partnership

  • Represent SharkNinja to Amazon leadership across the U.S. and Canada, in partnership with global Pure Players leadership.
  • Influence senior internal stakeholders, including C-suite leaders, through clear financial storytelling, strategic recommendations, and performance transparency.
  • Translate channel insights into actionable regional and global growth strategies.
  • Navigate complex negotiations and trade-offs with confidence, credibility, and strong executive presence.
  • Lead cross-channel initiatives that maximize Pure Players performance without disrupting our broader retail and e-commerce partnerships.

What We’re Looking For

  • A track record of outperformance at scale. You have run a large, digital-first P&L and grown it faster than its market, and you can articulate what you drove versus what the market delivered.
  • Share-based thinking. You manage to share as well as growth, and can tell when a strong-looking quarter masks a loss of ground.
  • Fluency in unit economics. Contribution margin, marginal return on media, and the true cost of a promotion are instincts, not analyses you commission.
  • Decisiveness with incomplete information. You move with conviction, align stakeholders behind the call, and adjust course without ego when the evidence changes.
  • Experience on a platform you do not control. You have built durable advantage inside someone else’s rules and adapted quickly when those rules changed.
  • Genuine curiosity. You ask deep questions, keep asking until the answer is real, and expect the same of your team.
  • Comfort owning the result. You are accountable for the number in strong quarters and difficult ones alike.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive e-commerce or digital-first commercial leadership, including P&L ownership at significant scale.
  • Demonstrated record of growth and share gain in a large, digital-first business against well-resourced, capable competition.
  • Direct, hands-on experience managing the Amazon marketplace at scale in North America; experience across both Amazon.com and Amazon.ca preferred.
  • Proven command of both 1P (Vendor) and 3P/DTC models and the economics that separate them.
  • Experience leading broad, cross-functional e-commerce organizations spanning sales, operations, marketing, and analytics.
  • Experience building or scaling an analytics and data science capability in service of commercial decision-making.
  • Deep understanding of core marketplace business drivers, including:
  • Demand forecasting, inventory planning, and working capital efficiency
  • Trade and marketing spend management, and marginal return on investment
  • Margin and contribution profitability
  • Traffic, conversion, ASP, AOV, retention, and LTV optimization
  • Retail media strategy and content-to-conversion execution
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and executive-level communication capability, with credibility in front of a C-suite and a platform partner alike.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen; advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and marketplace analytics tools.
  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to lead an organization through sustained change.
