We’re looking for a practical, organised and approachable HR professional to join our People team at Sharpsmart.
This is a hands-on role combining first-line employee relations support with HR and Talent administration. You’ll support managers with first-stage grievance, disciplinary and attendance matters, while helping keep our people processes running smoothly.
This role will be based from Spennymoor minimum 3 days per week with option to work 2 days from home office.
What you'll be doing
Supporting managers with first-stage grievance and disciplinary matters, including meeting preparation, documentation, note-taking and follow-up actions.
Supporting attendance and absence management, helping managers prepare for reviews and maintain accurate records.
Providing first-line guidance on HR policies and processes, escalating more complex or sensitive matters to the HR Business Partner.
Preparing letters, contracts and other employee documentation, and keeping HR systems and employee records accurate and up to date.
Coordinating recruitment activity, including advertising vacancies, arranging interviews and keeping candidates and hiring managers informed.
Supporting offer administration, pre-employment checks and onboarding.
Helping improve the processes and administration that support the employee journey.
