As our Chef Lecturer, you will play a key role in delivering an outstanding, student-centred learning experience. You will teach across courses and RWE sessions, support students through their learning and placements, and provide the academic and pastoral guidance they need to succeed.

Duties:
- To teach on courses and RWE sessions within the Kitchens and Restaurant and work to continue to ensure that it is an outstanding provision that has a positive impact on the learner and assessment process
- Classroom teaching, tutorial work and associated outreach duties, residential, open and distance learning courses and student placements
- All associated organisational and administrative work, preparation and marking and appropriate student welfare and academic counselling responsibilities;
- Acting as a Personal Tutor to students as required and undertaking all of the associated duties including pastoral care support.
- Making a full contribution to the team approach to learning and teaching. Implementing a student-centred negotiated learning programme in accordance with the College’s curriculum framework.
- Implementing agreed induction procedures and processes for students.
- Ensuring that students are informed of what is expected of them at every stage of their programme and that an awareness of what the programme involves is a feature of all reviews undertaken with students.
- Ensuring that appropriate assignments, tasks and activities are regularly set and assessed and that feedback is given to students in ways that will allow them to develop and achieve progression.
- Contributing to the organisation of and ensure that there are appropriate work placements.
Skills/Experience:
- Highly motivated professional with a range of industry experience and knowledge
- Good working knowledge of IT
Qualifications:
- Minimum GCSE grade 4 / C in English & Maths or equivalent.
- Level 3/4 qualification in the relevant area of expertise (or commitment to achieving this in the required timeframe)
- Level 5 Teaching qualification (or commitment to achieving this in the required timeframe)

Salary: £34,335 - £42,955 per annum, pro rata, dependent on qualifications and experience.
