A leading company in the Container Transportation & Logistics sector is looking for an experienced Operations Specialist – Driver Management & Allocation to join its operations team.

The role is responsible for managing daily trip allocation and the operational management of drivers, ensuring efficient trip execution and effective utilization of available drivers and trucks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and review daily transportation trips from Customer Service.

  • Allocate and assign available drivers to daily trips based on operational requirements and driver availability.

  • Ensure drivers are properly assigned and ready for their scheduled trips.

  • Manage and follow up with drivers regarding their daily operational activities.

  • Handle day-to-day operational issues related to drivers and ensure timely resolution.

  • Coordinate with Customer Service, GPS Tracking, Maintenance, Clearance, and Fleet Operations teams to ensure smooth trip execution.

  • Reallocate drivers and resources when operational changes or unexpected situations occur.

  • Monitor driver commitment to operational instructions, schedules, and company procedures.

  • Follow up on driver availability and operational performance.

  • Prepare and maintain required operational reports and records.

  • Escalate major operational issues to the relevant management team

Requirements

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of relevant experience in Operations, Transportation, Fleet Operations, or a related field.

  • Previous experience in Container Transportation / Trucking Operations is highly preferred.

  • Very strong experience in Driver Management and handling day-to-day driver operations.

  • Experience in trip allocation and driver assignment.

  • Good understanding of fleet and transportation operations.

  • Strong coordination and follow-up skills.

  • Ability to handle operational pressure and respond quickly to changing requirements.

  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Good command of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

  • Experience with Fleet / Transport Management Systems is a plus.
