Sia

Sia is a French management consultancy founded in 1999, known until 2024 as Sia Partners, that combines traditional strategy and operations advice with a large in-house data and artificial intelligence capability. Its consultants work for banks, insurers, energy and utility companies, telecommunications operators and public sector clients on transformation, regulation, risk and technology programmes, supported by its own AI products rather than only slide-based recommendations. Headquartered in Paris, the firm employs several thousand consultants across Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia.

Sia is a next-generation, global management consulting group. Founded in 1999, we were born digital. Today our strategy and management capabilities are augmented by data science, enhanced by creativity and driven by responsibility. We’re optimists for change and we help clients initiate, navigate and benefit from transformation. We believe optimism is a force multiplier, helping clients to mitigate downside and maximize opportunity. With expertise across a broad range of sectors and services, our 3,000 consultants serve clients worldwide from 48 locations in 19 countries. Our expertise delivers results. Our optimism transforms outcomes.

Contract Duration: 1 Year

Sia’s Corporate & Investment Banking practice is seeking a Senior Manager - Capital Markets Program Management to lead complex transformation and change initiatives for clients across the Capital Markets ecosystem.

This is a program leadership and delivery role for an experienced consulting or financial services professional who understands Capital Markets broadly and can effectively navigate complex business, operational, technology, and organizational environments.

The ideal candidate brings broad knowledge of Capital Markets, strong program management capabilities, proven change management experience, and the ability to engage and negotiate with senior stakeholders across business, operations, technology, risk, and other functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Complex Programs: Own end-to-end delivery of large-scale Capital Markets transformation programs, including defining program objectives, workstreams, milestones, dependencies, governance, risks, and delivery plans.

  • Drive Change Management: Develop and execute change management strategies to support organizational, process, operating model, and technology transformations. Assess business impacts, stakeholder readiness, adoption risks, and organizational dependencies.

  • Manage Senior Stakeholders: Build trusted relationships with senior business and technology stakeholders, facilitate executive-level discussions, manage competing priorities, and drive alignment across multiple functions and teams.

  • Navigate Stakeholder Negotiations: Lead challenging discussions and negotiations across business, operations, technology, risk, compliance, and other stakeholders to resolve conflicts, establish priorities, and maintain program momentum.

  • Apply Capital Markets Knowledge: Bring broad working knowledge of Capital Markets and the institutional trade lifecycle, including areas such as front office, trading, middle office, post-trade, operations, risk, technology, settlements, asset servicing, and market infrastructure.

  • Translate Business Needs into Delivery: Work with clients to translate strategic objectives and business requirements into actionable transformation roadmaps, initiatives, workplans, and measurable outcomes.

  • Program Governance & Reporting: Establish program governance structures, steering committees, status reporting, RAID management, KPIs, and escalation mechanisms. Provide clear and concise updates to senior leadership.

  • Risk, Issue & Dependency Management: Proactively identify and manage program risks, issues, dependencies, and inter-workstream conflicts, escalating appropriately and driving resolution.

  • Coordinate Cross-Functional Teams: Lead and coordinate teams across business, operations, technology, risk, compliance, and external partners to ensure effective execution of program objectives.

  • Support Transformation Strategy: Contribute to operating model design, process improvement, technology transformation, regulatory change, and other strategic initiatives across Capital Markets.

  • Client Delivery & Relationship Management: Operate as a senior client-facing leader, bringing structure to ambiguous problems, challenging assumptions constructively, and ensuring high-quality delivery.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop consultants and client team members, providing direction, mentorship, and feedback throughout the engagement.

  • Business Development: Contribute to proposals, account development, client relationship building, and identification of follow-on opportunities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Economics, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.

  • 8-10 years of relevant experience in management consulting, Capital Markets, investment banking, financial services, or related transformation/program leadership roles.

  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale programs or transformation initiatives in complex financial services environments.

  • Strong Capital Markets knowledge, with the ability to understand and navigate multiple areas rather than deep specialization in a single domain.

  • Proven experience in change management, organizational transformation, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Strong experience managing senior stakeholders and facilitating alignment across business and technology teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex stakeholder negotiations, resolve conflicts, and influence without direct authority.

  • Strong program management capabilities, including governance, workstream management, RAID management, dependencies, milestones, and executive reporting.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and executive-level relationship management skills.

  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and bringing structure to complex problems.

  • Strong consulting mindset with the ability to quickly understand new Capital Markets topics, ask the right questions, and adapt to different client environments.

  • Experience working with financial institutions, including banks, broker-dealers, asset managers, exchanges, market infrastructure providers, or other Capital Markets organizations.

  • Management consulting experience is strongly preferred.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a Capital Markets generalist and transformation leader, rather than a specialist in one product or operational function.

The successful candidate will be someone who can walk into a complex Capital Markets program, quickly understand the business context, bring structure to the problem, align senior stakeholders, manage change, and drive the program through execution.

You do not need to be the deepest expert in settlements, derivatives, payments, trading, or another specific Capital Markets discipline. You do need to understand how Capital Markets businesses operate and be able to lead the people, change, and delivery required to transform them.

All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
