**Position Overview**

We are looking for a dbt Cloud Solution Architect in Pune to lead the technical evolution of our dbt Cloud and Snowflake transformation layer. This layer is the backbone for data products, advanced analytics, and AI use cases within our Global Customer Success organization.

Your primary mission is to build a highly economical, scalable, and resilient data platform. This is a hands-on architecture role. You will not just design documentation; you will dive into complex workloads, refactor fragile pipelines, and establish the engineering standards that enable our data engineers to deliver high-quality bronze, silver, and gold data layers.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Technical Leadership: Own the architecture and engineering standards for dbt Cloud on Snowflake, including project structure, model layering, dependencies, and deployment patterns.
• Cost & Performance Optimization: Analyze query behavior and job telemetry to reduce marginal compute costs, identifying and prioritizing high-return optimizations.
• Advanced Pipeline Design: Design incremental processing strategies, materialization patterns, and workload sizing for high-volume, complex datasets.
• Production Excellence: Establish robust CI/CD controls, automated validation gates, regression detection, and auditable release processes across DEV, QUA, and PRD environments.
• Operational Monitoring: Define observability standards for data products, ensuring reliability for downstream data scientists, dashboard developers, and AI application owners.
• Mentorship & Collaboration: Coach data engineers through design reviews and code reviews, providing reusable examples and technical documentation to elevate the team’s collective capability.

**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience**

• dbt Expertise: Advanced, hands-on experience with dbt Cloud in production environments. Deep dbt capability is a non-negotiable requirement.
• Snowflake Proficiency: Demonstrated experience refactoring and optimizing large-scale SQL transformations specifically on the Snowflake Data Cloud.
• Analytics Engineering: Strong knowledge of dbt macros, packages, lineage, snapshots, and complex materialization strategies.
• Efficiency Mindset: Proven ability to measure and improve cloud data workloads using query profiles, execution history, and warehouse job telemetry.
• DevOps for Data: Experience designing CI/CD and release-management practices (Git-based) for analytics engineering.
• Communication: Ability to translate complex business requirements into maintainable technical architecture and communicate tradeoffs clearly to a global team.

**Preferred Qualifications**

• Official dbt Certification.
• Expertise in Snowflake performance tuning and credit consumption management.
• Experience supporting AI/ML workloads or customer health telemetry.
• Familiarity with data contracts, semantic layers, and enterprise data governance.
