Siemens is a German technology conglomerate founded in Berlin in 1847 by Werner von Siemens around a telegraph that indicated letters rather than Morse code. After a decade of divestments it now concentrates on industry, infrastructure, transport and healthcare, supplying factory automation and control systems, building and grid technology, trains and signalling, and the Teamcenter and NX design software acquired through a long run of software purchases. The Siemens Xcelerator platform ties hardware to software and digital twins, and the group retains a majority stake in the separately listed medical imaging company Siemens Healthineers.

Here at Siemens, we take pride in enabling sustainable progress through technology. We do this through empowering customers by combining the real and digital worlds. Improving how we live, work, and move today and for the next generation! We know that the only way a business thrives is if our people are thriving. That’s why we always put our people first. Our global, diverse team would be happy to support you and challenge you to grow in new ways.

Siemens Electrification and Automation is seeking a Protection, Control & Automation Panel Design Engineer with High Voltage Protection & Automation experience to design and develop sophisticated power automation and protection panels for critical substation systems. You will contribute as a hands-on design expert, integrating Siemens and third-party automation products to deliver innovative, high-impact solutions to our customers.

The Location & Lifestyle: This role is based at our national headquarters in Wendell, North Carolina-located in the heart of the Research Triangle, just 20 minutes east of Raleigh. We offer a flexible hybrid work environment, with the opportunity to work from home up to two-three days per week when business needs allow. There may be times when more office presence is needed, but we strive to maintain that flexibility whenever possible.

For experienced engineers, this area offers an incredible quality of life: top-rated schools, a mild four-season climate, easy weekend access to mountains and the coast, and a highly favorable cost of living that allows your compensation to go much further. • Being the Expert Voice: Serve as a primary customer interface, providing problem-solving and commissioning support.
