What amazing People will bring to the role

What Amazing People Bring to the Role..

💡 You’re a curious and adaptable engineer who cares about writing reliable, readable and well-tested code, enjoys solving problems with colleagues and welcomes new ways of working.

At your core, you’re passionate about turning requirements into working software that makes a practical difference. You examine information carefully, check your work and follow procedures while exploring possibilities and generating ideas. You interpret data, make sound decisions and communicate clearly, welcoming feedback and contributing to shared solutions. You manage tasks, meet timescales and stay composed as priorities evolve, bringing Sigma’s values—Always Learning, Always Adapting, Always Together and Always Better—into how you work every day.

Success will be measured through sprint goal delivery, cycle time, defect escape rate, automated test coverage, code review turnaround and change failure rate. Key outputs will include working, tested features; automated tests and CI/CD pipelines; API and system integrations; code reviews and technical decisions; technical documentation; and reusable agent instructions and checks. Expected activities and outputs will be discussed in your first one-to-one with your line manager and reviewed alongside your commitments and goals, with the Sigma Connected Competency Matrix and Always Improving Performance Framework providing further guidance.

You’ll bring practical experience developing and maintaining software using modern programming languages and frameworks in a collaborative team environment. You’re confident working with APIs, databases, version control and automated testing, and can translate requirements into reliable, maintainable code. You troubleshoot problems methodically and collaborate well through code reviews and shared technical decisions.

You’ll ideally bring:
  • Experience with cloud platforms, frontend and backend development, CI/CD pipelines and system integrations.
  • Practical exposure to AI-assisted development and agentic coding, including directing coding agents, reviewing their changes and validating results.
  • Experience configuring or improving AI agent harnesses, including reusable instructions, tool integrations and automated checks.

This isn’t just another Software Engineer role.

It’s an opportunity to build and improve ServiceOne, contribute to shared technical decisions and help shape how the team uses AI to deliver more, faster, without compromising on quality.

If you’re ready to turn requirements into reliable software, solve problems together and explore the possibilities of AI-assisted development, we’d love to hear from you.

Join the Sigma Family.
