About Your New Employer
We are working with an established civil engineering contractor delivering infrastructure, roads, drainage, earthworks, and general civil engineering projects across Ireland.
The successful candidate will join a growing project team managing site operations on a project based in Ballinasloe, Co. Galway. The company is committed to high standards of safety, quality, and project delivery.
About Your New Role
As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of site activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and to the required quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing daily site operations and coordinating all site activities.
- Supervising site personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensuring works are completed in line with project specifications and programmes.
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
- Monitoring progress and providing regular updates to the Contracts Manager and project team.
- Coordinating labour, plant, materials, and resources on-site.
- Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Identifying and resolving technical, operational, and construction issues.
- Attending site meetings and maintaining accurate project records.
- Ensuring projects are completed within agreed timeframes and budgets.
What Skills You Need
- Several years’ experience as a Site Manager within civil engineering or construction.
- Experience delivering roads, drainage, earthworks, infrastructure, or similar projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, site operations, and project delivery.
- Good understanding of Irish health and safety legislation and construction regulations.
- Proven ability to manage subcontractors, site teams, and multiple project activities.
- Strong leadership, communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project documentation.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
- A relevant construction or engineering qualification would be beneficial.
- Full clean driver’s licence.
