Software Engineer

We are looking for a Software Engineer to help build and scale the backend systems behind Sign3's fraud detection platform. You will work on real-time APIs, data pipelines, and core services that power risk decisions for some of the largest fintechs in the country. This role is well-suited for engineers with 2 to 4 years of experience who enjoy writing clean, performant code and want to grow into ownership of larger systems.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain backend services, REST APIs, and integrations across the platform.
• Write clean, well-tested, production-grade code with strong attention to performance and reliability.
• Work across multiple databases and messaging systems to support real-time risk processing.
• Troubleshoot and optimize backend systems for scale and stability.
• Collaborate with product, data science, and senior engineers to ship features end to end.
• Contribute to design discussions, code reviews, and technical documentation.

Requirements:

• 2 to 4 years of experience in backend software development.
• Strong programming skills in Java or Python, with a solid grasp of data structures and algorithms.
• Hands-on experience with Spring or similar frameworks, REST APIs, and relational or NoSQL databases.
• Comfort with debugging, profiling, and optimizing production systems.
• Familiarity with messaging systems, caching layers, or cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) is a plus.
• Strong analytical mindset and willingness to take ownership of problems.
