We are looking for an experienced Linux Administrator to join a team responsible for maintaining secure, stable, and highly available Linux-based environments. The role focuses on Linux administration, vulnerability fixing, automation, and operational support for application and middleware platforms.
Your tasks
Administering, monitoring, and maintaining Linux environments, with a strong focus on stability, availability, and security
Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving system and application issues in Linux-based environments
Supporting vulnerability management activities, including patching, hardening, and remediation of security findings
Creating and maintaining automation scripts to improve daily administration and operational processes
Supporting Jenkins-related automation used for deployment, maintenance, or operational workflows
Maintaining and troubleshooting application server components, especially Tomcat/JWS
Cooperating with application, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth delivery and operational continuity
Analyzing logs, incidents, and monitoring alerts to identify root causes and prevent recurring issues
Preparing and maintaining technical documentation, operational procedures, and security-related instructions
Requirements
At least 5 years of strong hands-on experience in Linux administration
Very good understanding of system security, vulnerability fixing, patching, and hardening practices
Practical experience in scripting and automation, e.g., Bash, Python, or Ansible
Experience with Jenkins administration or support of Jenkins-based automation processes
Knowledge of Tomcat/JWS administration, troubleshooting, and operational support
Ability to analyze logs, diagnose incidents, and resolve technical issues independently
Good communication skills and readiness to cooperate with technical stakeholders in an international environment
Reliability, ownership, and a proactive approach to improving operational processes
Availability to work in a hybrid model (2 days per week from the client's office in Cracow)
Nice-to-have requirements
Experience with IBM products such as WebSphere Liberty Profile (WLP), IBM MQ, or ACE
Previous experience in banking or other highly regulated enterprise environments
Knowledge of additional automation, configuration management, or monitoring tools
Red Hat or other Linux-related certification
