Sales Engineer (Grinding Aid - Trợ nghiền)

JOB PURPOSE: Be in charge of developing and executing sales and technical service plans for Sika's Grinding Aid and cement additives portfolio within the assigned cement plant accounts. The role drives revenue growth by building strong relationships with cement manufacturers, delivering plant trial support and technical solutions that improve grinding efficiency and cement quality, and ensuring full alignment with Sika’s commercial and quality standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / NHIỆM VỤ CÔNG VIỆC

• Sales Planning & Target Achievement: Develop and implement strategic sales plans for the Grinding Aid / cement additives business. Achieve short- and long-term sales targets for assigned cement plant accounts in line with regional and company objectives. Provide monthly status reports to the Area Manager.
• Technical Support & Plant Trials: Plan and execute grinding aid trials directly at customer cement mills. Coordinate with plant technical and production teams to monitor production data (output rate, fineness, energy consumption) and cement quality results (strength development, workability, powder flowability). Translate trial results into a clear value proposition and optimize dosage recommendations to fit each plant's raw material and process conditions.
• Market Intelligence: Gather and analyse market information on cement plant capacity, clinker factor targets, use of supplementary cementitious materials (SCM), and competitor grinding aid activity in the assigned area. Report market insights to the Sales Supervisor to support commercial decisions.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Coordinate information and documentation between Sika Vietnam and external stakeholders (cement plant technical, production, and procurement teams). Liaise with internal departments - Sika’s global Cement Additives technical team, Pricing, Logistics, and Customer Service - to ensure trial support, quotations, contracts, deliveries, and after-sales services are aligned with Sika policies.
• Compliance: Comply with all laws and Sika regulations, processes, and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) minimum requirements. Adhere to occupational safety and hygiene measures as outlined in the workplace. Uphold all agreements on occupational safety and hygiene stipulated in the Labor Contract or collective bargaining agreement.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field; candidates with a cement or chemistry background are preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years' experience in the cement industry, building materials, or chemical additives business, with direct exposure to grinding aids or cement additives preferred.
• Skills: Working knowledge of the cement grinding process (Ball Mill, Vertical Roller Mill, HoroMill) and cement quality parameters (Blaine fineness, strength development, powder flowability). Ability to interpret plant production and laboratory test data. Strong technical presentation and negotiation skills. Good organisational and communication skills. Able to work independently and travel frequently to cement plants nationwide. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Working proficiency in English.
