Why this role is important to us
Group IT keeps SimCorp running. The same discipline we bring to our clients' investment operations is applied to our own enterprise platforms. Workday and Salesforce are at the center of how we manage our people and client relationships.
As Senior Director, Enterprise Applications, you will own the strategy, governance, and operational health of Workday and Salesforce across the organization. You will serve as the primary accountable leader for these platforms, partnering closely with business functions to ensure secure, compliant, and reliable operations through your leadership team and subject matter experts.
This is a senior leadership position with high visibility across Group IT, P&C, and Sales, providing direct influence over the evolution of two of SimCorp's most business-critical enterprise platforms.
You will step directly into a strategic and business-critical transformation initiative: the migration of financial processes and data from Workday to SAP S/4HANA, with a planned go-live in January 2027. Success in this role requires the ability to quickly engage in data mapping, integration planning, stakeholder alignment, and cross-functional execution from day one.

What you will be responsible for
Define and own the multi-year strategy, roadmap, and operating model for Workday andSalesforce, aligning platform capabilities and investments with business priorities and growth objectives
Establish and chair platform governance forums with P&C, Sales, Customer Success, and other key stakeholders to prioritize enhancements, integrations, releases, and investment decisions
Ensure the stability, performance, security, and availability of Workday and Salesforce through effective release management, testing, monitoring, and change control practices
Oversee the end-to-end integration landscape across Workday, Salesforce, SAP S/4HANA
Manage strategic relationships with software vendors, implementation partners, and managed service providers, including contracts, licensing, and commercial oversight in partnership with Software Asset Management
Own platform security and access governance, including role design, segregation of duties, periodic access reviews, and compliance with internal control requirements
Partner closely with Information Security, Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit teams to ensure effective controls, timely remediation activities, and adherence to GDPR and other regulatory requirements
Drive continuous improvement and adoption of platform capabilities to increase business value, operational efficiency, and user experience across the organization
What we value
10+ years of leadership experience in enterprise applications, with deep expertise in Workday and Salesforce, or solid hands-on experience in one platform combined with demonstrated leadership responsibility for the other
5+ years of people management experience leading teams of platform owners, administrators, business analysts, or related application specialists
A proven track record of establishing and operating governance models for enterprise platforms in a global, regulated, or financial services environment
Solid understanding of enterprise integration architectures.
Experience managing SaaS vendors, software licensing, commercial agreements, and strategic partner relationships
Solid knowledge of data privacy, risk, and security frameworks, including GDPR, SOC 2, and ISO 27001
Effective stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at both executive and technical levels
Workday and/or Salesforce certifications are considered an advantage
