About Our Role

We are seeking an experienced Demand Planner to join our team at Simplot in a permanent full-time role based at our Mentone office, reporting to our Senior Manager Demand Planning - APAC. The role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the end-to-end forecasting process while partnering closely with commercial and supply chain teams to drive better business outcomes.

You will develop insight-led demand plans, bringing together customer, commercial and operational inputs to create an accurate and aligned view of demand. Working closely with Sales, Supply Planning, Customer Experience and Finance, you will translate market dynamics, promotional activity and changing demand signals into actionable plans that support business performance.

This is a highly collaborative role where you will influence decision-making through data-led insights, build strong cross-functional relationships and contribute to the ongoing improvement of planning processes, systems and forecasting capability.

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts, ensuring plans are aligned to business objectives and changing market dynamics.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Supply Planning, Customer Experience and Finance teams to build a single, aligned view of demand.
  • Translate promotional activity, commercial initiatives and customer insights into actionable demand plans.
  • Monitor forecast performance, identify risks and opportunities, and use data-driven insights to improve forecast accuracy and reduce bias.
  • Provide recommendations and scenario analysis to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Leverage forecasting systems and planning tools to drive forecasting excellence and improve planning outcomes.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across planning processes, systems and ways of working.

About You

You are an experienced Demand Planner who enjoys taking ownership of the forecasting process and partnering with stakeholders to drive better business outcomes. You combine strong analytical capability with a collaborative approach and are comfortable influencing decisions through data and insight.

  • To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Proven experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, Supply Chain Planning or a related discipline.
  • Strong forecasting and demand analytics capability, including experience using statistical forecasting methodologies.
  • Experience working with demand planning systems such as SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, Blueshift, Logility or similar planning platforms.
  • The ability to interpret data, identify trends and translate insights into practical recommendations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and work effectively across commercial and operational teams.
  • A proactive and curious mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement and planning excellence.
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills, coupled with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience within FMCG, retail, manufacturing or a similar fast-paced environment will be highly regarded.
