About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our team and ensure the reliability and quality of our technologies. You will be responsible for designing and executing test plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams, identifying defects, and driving continuous improvement in our development processes.
You will work closely with engineering, product, and international colleagues in a highly collaborative global environment. Location: Tampere, on-site, full-time, permanent position
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test cases for embedded products.
Execute automated and manual testing activities to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability.
Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support reliable test execution across environments.
Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
Continuously improve automation coverage, test reliability, and execution performance.
Create test plans, test design, and execute tests throughout the software development lifecycle.
Collaborate with engineering, product management, and DevOps teams to ensure quality requirements are understood and validated.
Report testing results, quality risks, and recommendations to project stakeholders.
Contribute to the improvement of testing processes, tools, and best practices.
What We Require
3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and test automation.
Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, or similar languages.
Hands-on experience with modern test automation frameworks such as Robot Framework, Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar technologies.
Experience testing REST APIs and service-oriented architectures.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and quality engineering principles.
Experience with manual testing and understanding its benefits and appropriate use cases.
Experience with production automation testing.
Experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams.
Eagerness to learn, take ownership of assigned tasks, and grow professionally.
English proficiency at B1 level or higher.
What We See as a Plus
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized environments.
Familiarity with security testing practices and tools.
Experience with AI-assisted test generation, self-healing automation, or quality engineering tools leveraging AI.
Experience testing embedded systems or hardware-integrated software solutions.
