About the Role
As a Customer Operations Specialist Export Europe & Americas, you will be responsible for managing customer orders and supporting the complete Order to Cash process across export markets within Europe and the Americas. This role is divided equally between two Customer Operations teams located in Amersfoort and Meppel, providing broad exposure to international supply chains, export logistics, customer management, and digital business processes.
You will work closely with customers, logistics providers, planning teams, factories, sales teams, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless order fulfillment, excellent customer service, and continuous operational improvement.
Responsibilities
- Manage the complete Order to Cash process for export customers across Europe and the Americas
- Process customer orders and export documentation accurately within SAP
- Monitor order flows, deliveries, transportation activities, and customer requirements
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries regarding orders, shipments, documentation, and delivery performance
- Coordinate with supply planning, demand planning, logistics, factories, sales support, and commercial teams
- Resolve delivery issues, discrepancies, complaints, returns, debit notes, and credit notes
- Maintain and update customer and logistical master data
- Manage customer communications and proactively provide status updates
- Monitor digital order channels including EDI, customer portals, and automated order processes
- Work closely with transport planning and logistics partners to ensure smooth execution of shipments
- Support forecasting activities and operational planning processes
- Participate in system testing, process documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Contribute to automation and digitalization projects across Customer Operations
- Manage multiple stakeholders while balancing competing priorities and customer expectations
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Customer Operations, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proven experience within Customer Operations, Customer Service, Supply Chain, or Logistics
- Strong understanding of end to end Order to Cash processes
- Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
- Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Fluent Dutch and English language skills
- Spanish language skills are highly advantageous
- Experience within FMCG, Food, or Dairy industries is strongly preferred
- Experience with EDI platforms, customer integration systems, and digital tools is an advantage
- Knowledge of SAP S4HANA and Salesforce is considered beneficial
Other Information
Minimum of one onsite day per week in Amersfoort and one onsite day per week in Meppel
