Marketing Data Scientist
Warsaw|Up to 40% working from home possible| Reference8339
SIX is building a dedicated Tech & Data capability within the Marketing & Communications (CMC) department, with the ambition to measure and steer marketing investment end-to-end: marketing mix modelling, multi-touch attribution and ROMI, operated in-house on the enterprise Databricks platform. Reporting to the Head Tech & Data Marketing & Communications, the Marketing Data Scientist owns the models themselves. The capability is built together with an implementation partner - this role is embedded in the modelling workstream from the first sprint and takes over the run: refresh, calibration, evolution. From day one it also shapes the methodological route, choosing where transparent contribution rules suffice and where advanced modelling earns its complexity. This is an opportunity for an applied data scientist who wants ownership of a full modelling stack in production, in a B2B environment with long sales cycles, buying committees, and a regulated context that takes explainability seriously.
What You Will Do
- Build and operate marketing mix models (Bayesian / econometric) quantifying channel and brand contribution across business units
- Build and operate account-level multi-touch attribution (MTA) models designed for long B2B cycles, buying committees and in-flight opportunities
- Design and run incrementality and geo-lift experiments; use them to calibrate and challenge the models
- Develop personalization, propensity and further applied-AI models feeding segmentation, targeting and next-best-action use cases
- Own model refresh, monitoring, calibration, documentation and explainability to finance-grade and regulatory standards
- Work hands-on in the ML environment (MLflow, model serving, AI endpoints); embed with the implementation partner's model squad and own the handover
- Translate model outputs into scenario planning and budget optimisation together with the CMC Measurement & Insights Lead
What You Bring
- A strong applied data-science background: Bayesian methods or econometrics, causal inference, time-series modelling
- Hands-on experience with marketing mix modelling and/or attribution modelling in production; B2B context a plus
- Solid engineering craft: Python, PySpark and ML lifecycle tooling on Databricks or a comparable platform
- Experience designing experiments: control groups, geo tests, incrementality measurement
- The discipline to document and explain models to non-technical stakeholders in a regulated environment
- The judgement to keep it simple where simple wins - transparent rules first, complexity where it demonstrably adds value
- Experience embedding AI agents into business processes - designing, building and evaluating agentic workflows (e.g. on Databricks AI gateway and endpoints) beyond classic modelling
