We are currently looking for an Engineer who will be working within our Building Operating Unit and will be responsible for effectively and professionally plan, manage, coordinate and monitor the Engineering aspects of sub-contract packages associated with the construction works including demolition, excavation, drainage, reinforced concrete and post tensioned concrete to assist with the successful delivery of a commercial mixed use development in Central London.
As the Engineer you will:
- Manage the site engineering activities in accordance with Skanska’s Environmental, Health, Safety and quality procedures.
- Assist the Senior Engineer in ensuring all aspects of project compliance.
- Contribute to development of a good working relationship with the Client’s team, consultants, sub-contractors and external parties to ensure the successful execution of all project specific engineering matters.
- Ensure all project specifications, quality requirements and industry good practices are adhered to.
- Carrying out all project specific Quality Assurance related inspections and checks.
- Management of all temporary works activities e.g. ensuring design compliance, RAMS, installation, inspections, loading and unloading.
We are looking for:
- Minimum BTEC HNC/HND or BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering
- Relevant experience on projects of equivalent complexity
- Quality management skills
- Commercial awareness
- Management of health & safety
- Functional technical skills
