SLB is seeking a proactive and safety-focused individual to join our Well Construction Fluids team in Shreveport, Louisiana, as a Field Specialist Trainee. This is an entry-level field position designed for recent graduates, individuals with relevant military experience, or candidates looking to begin a career in the energy industry. In this role, you will support the delivery of safe, efficient, and reliable fluid services at customer locations while developing the technical and operational skills required to progress into a Field Specialist role.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Execute Well Construction Fluids services safely and efficiently at customer locations.
  • Ensure job deliverables are accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
  • Participate in job risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standards through inspections and self-assessments.
  • Collaborate with customers and field teams to support service quality and operational performance.
  • Participate in Service Quality, HSE, and Quality meetings to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Promote adherence to safety procedures, PPE requirements, and mandatory training programs.
  • Identify and address operational issues while contributing to reliable service delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A technical degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent military experience may also be considered.
  • This entry-level opportunity is suitable for candidates with limited professional experience who demonstrate strong leadership potential and a willingness to learn.
  • Previous experience in field operations, oil and gas, military, technical, mechanical, or customer-facing environments is considered an asset.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL), if required.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Willingness to work a 15-days-on/6-days-off rotation with 24/7 on-call availability.
  • Must be legally authorized to work and reside in the United States without company sponsorship.
