Reservoir Dynamic Simulation involves the development and application of a numerical reservoir model to understand and predict fluid flow behavior within the reservoir throughout its life cycle.
The scope typically includes reviewing and quality-controlling reservoir dynamic data such as production, pressure, PVT, SCAL, and well test data; preparing and initializing the simulation model using static geological inputs; calibrating the model through history matching of pressure, production rates, water cut, gas-oil ratio, and injection performance; conducting production forecasting under various development scenarios; evaluating field development and reservoir management strategies including infill drilling, well placement, pressure maintenance, and injection optimization; performing uncertainty and sensitivity analyses to assess risks and forecast ranges; and delivering a calibrated dynamic model, forecast cases, development recommendations, and technical reports to support reserves estimation, production optimization, and field development planning.
