We are responsible to deliver complex designs through the various stages of their maturity and hence responsible to ensure robust configuration control across engineering design, digital models, and project documentation
We are looking for Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Configuration Management within plant engineering discipline focused on maintaining design integrity, traceability, and alignment across all engineering outputs throughout the project lifecycle. The SMEs should have spent sufficient time in a highly regulated process industry leading configuration management domain.
They will report into the Technical Director leading the various Projects.
Your role
- Independently implement Configuration Management frameworks across full project lifecycle (Concept to As-Built) ensuring Single Source of Truth, Controlled data flows between systems and Proper version and revision management.
- Develop various Configuration Management Plans (CMP) and baseline governance structures.
- Define and manage Configuration Items (CIs) and design baselines.
- Establish and govern engineering change control processes in coordination with the project leadership.
- Establish configuration control as an operational discipline within projects.
- Manage configuration across mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
- Establish and control the design baselines (FEED, IFC, As-Built).
- Resolve cross-discipline data inconsistencies impacting design integrity.
- Perform multi-discipline impact assessments for design changes.
- Strong knowledge of engineering database structures and data models, including how systems, tags, documents, and assets are interrelated so that integrated configuration management across tools such as Aveva E3D, SmartPlant, Tekla, ETAP, and EDMS is achieved.
About you
- Suitable degree in relevant engineering discipline with domain experience in configuration management
- Experience in Nuclear, Power, Oil & Gas or other highly regulated industrial environment preferred.
- More than 10 years of experience in engineering services and configuration management.
- Experience in configuration management across plant cycle, including design, commissioning, operation and maintenance of plant systems or experience in configuration management in infrastructure industry.
- Certification in configuration management and familiarity with relevant standards is preferred.
- Experience in laying out configuration management methodology and governance.
- Ability to manage design changes systematically and ability to track, control, and audit the changes.
- Proven strong problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills with a proven ability to write accurate, detailed and concise technical reports.
- Strong teamwork skills to coordinate with multiple departments and stakeholders
- Flexible to relocate to AtkinsRéalis India Office Locations (Bangalore/Gurgaon/Mumbai) flexible in travelling to AtkinsRéalis’ and client’s office locations around the world, if required.
