Role Overview :
As a Staff Engineer, you will serve as a technical anchor, driving the architectural evolution of our core platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional product and engineering teams to translate complex business requirements into high-performance, distributed systems. Your day-to-day will involve solving intricate engineering challenges, mentoring senior developers, and ensuring our infrastructure remains resilient and scalable as we expand our global footprint. By setting high standards for code quality and system design, you will directly influence the reliability and speed of our services, ultimately shaping the experience for thousands of recruiters and candidates.
Key Responsibilities :
- Architect and maintain highly scalable distributed systems that handle high-concurrency traffic to ensure consistent platform performance.
- Design and implement robust RESTful APIs that facilitate seamless communication between our microservices and external integrations.
- Optimize database performance and query efficiency within PostgreSQL environments to support data-intensive application features.
- Oversee the implementation of asynchronous task queues using Celery and Redis to manage background processing and improve system responsiveness.
- Lead technical design reviews and provide architectural guidance to engineering teams to ensure long-term system maintainability and scalability.
- Deploy and manage cloud-native infrastructure on AWS, ensuring high availability, security, and cost-effectiveness across all production environments.
Required Skillset :
- Demonstrated expertise in building complex backend systems using Python and the Django framework, with a deep understanding of their internal mechanics.
- Advanced proficiency in designing and managing relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL, with a focus on schema design and performance tuning.
- Proven ability to architect distributed systems and microservices, ensuring fault tolerance and high availability in production environments.
- Strong command over REST API development, including versioning, security, and documentation standards.
- Extensive experience with caching strategies and message brokers, particularly Redis and Celery, to optimize application throughput.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, RDS, S3, and Lambda, to build and maintain cloud-based infrastructure.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and mentor junior engineering talent.
- A collaborative mindset, comfortable working in a high-growth, hybrid environment across our Hyderabad, Gurgaon, or Bangalore offices.
- A minimum of 8 to 13 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally within a product-focused organization.
