About the Team:

Product Designers at Smartly are at the forefront of our fast-paced product development process, playing an integral role in the product development cycle. Collaborating with Product Managers, we identify key areas for improvement and strategize development plans. Our team conducts discovery and research with the industry's leading advertisers. Within the design team we design cutting edge AI native experiences and maintain and enhance our design system to ensure rapid development cycles while maintaining high output quality. We work closely with PM’s and developers and distill the customer needs into mental models that help our customers achieve their goals. 

As a Lead Product Designer atSmartly, your role is to shape the future of the Smartly platform by deeply understanding customer needs, identifying emerging opportunities, and defining product experiences that create meaningful impact. You drive discovery efforts together with product managers, engineers, and researchers - exploring workflows, validating problems, and translating insights into strategic product direction.

As a Lead Product Designer, You Will:

• Shape the direction of our product experience by identifying high-impact opportunities, clarifying complex problem spaces, and translating ambiguity into actionable product direction.
• Design products and features that meet the customer needs and are intuitive to discover and easy to learn, delivering early value to customers.
• Interact directly with our customers on discovery, validation and testing.
• Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, other Designers, Researchers and leadership to align teams around shared outcomes, product vision, and the product experience
• Deliver a great, end-to-end user experience for all customers.
• Mentor and coach junior designers, helping them grow and thrive in their roles.

What we are looking for:

• A minimum of 8+ years of experience in product design, ready to take on a leading role with an opportunity to grow further.
• Confidence in leading the design process end-to-end, from identifying product opportunities to prototyping, delivering high-fidelity designs, and collaborating closely with engineers to implement solutions.
• Passion for the entire product discovery process, including UX research, customer interviews, and close collaboration with product managers and leadership to define the product's future.
• Experience in Marketing Tech or AdTech domains is considered beneficial.
• Energetic and team-spirited, with a big appetite for growth and empowerment.
• Previous experience in front-end development or vibe coding is beneficial.
• Ability and willingness to work from our Helsinki office at least three days per week.
