Smiths Group is a British engineering company founded in 1851 as a London watchmaker, and it has repeatedly reinvented itself, once supplying instruments for most British cars and aircraft before selling those businesses entirely. Today it operates in four areas: security screening equipment for airports and borders, seals and connectors for extreme industrial environments, non-destructive detection and inspection instruments, and specialist electrical connectors for aerospace and defence. Headquartered in London and listed there, it has been under investor pressure to break itself up on the argument that its divisions have little in common.

STS Aerospace is a leading aerospace manufacturing and engineering company specializing in fluid conveyance solutions for commercial aviation, defense, and space applications. The company designs and manufactures high-performance rigid tubing, flexible hose assemblies, and custom-engineered fluid transfer systems used in critical aerospace platforms worldwide. With a strong commitment to quality, innovation, and customer service, STS Aerospace delivers reliable solutions that support the safety and performance of mission-critical aerospace systems.
