Job Purpose:

To design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software solutions using C, C++, Python, and Linux, ensuring compliance with secure coding practices and quality standards. The role supports Bare Metal and Linux environments, contributes to Agile development processes, and collaborates across cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure applications.

As per company policy, this role requires presence in the office 4 days per week.

Duties:

• Support the design, development, testing, debugging, and maintenance of embedded software applications.
• Follow established software development processes, coding standards, and quality practices.
• Apply object-oriented software development principles in feature implementation and maintenance activities.
• Contribute to test-driven software development and software verification activities.
• Develop and maintain software for Bare Metal and Linux-based embedded target environment
• Utilize C, C++, Python, and Linux tools to implement and support software solutions.
• Support cybersecurity compliance activities, including the use of security scan tools and remediation of identified issues.
• Participate in project planning, effort estimation, and task execution under the guidance of senior team members.
• Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and support project deliverables.
• Document software designs, test results, and implementation details in accordance with project requirements.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 2-4 years of professional software development experience with hands-on coding across multiple technology stacks, including embedded software.

Technical Expertise:

• Experience in following formal Software development processes
• Experience of object-oriented software development
• Experience of test-driven software development
• Experience of developing Bare Metal or Linux embedded target environments
• Experience of kernel configuration and driver development
• Solid C, C++, Python and Linux experience
• Understanding of cybersecurity issues and security scan tools
• UI development experience and proficiency in Angular & Electron are considered added advantages.
• Design, Architect, Plan & estimate project work
• A self-starter with the ability to manage your time effectively, keen attention to detail and use your own initiative
• Effective communication skills at all levels of the organization and collaborative abilities.
• Excellent communication skills particularly in English (fluently spoken and written) in addition to any local language spoken at the place of work.
