About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Test Automation Engineer with strong programming fundamentals and hands-on experience in test automation and Android application testing.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Python, Object-Oriented Programming, test automation concepts, Git/GitHub, and a good understanding of the Android application ecosystem.

Candidates with exposure to Selenium, Robot Framework, mobile automation frameworks, Java/Kotlin, and AI-assisted developer tools such as Gemini and Claude Code will have an added advantage.

This is an urgent requirement, and candidates who are available for a Face-to-Face interview in Bangalore tomorrow will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Test Design & Analysis :

- Analyze business and technical requirements to understand application functionality.

- Prepare structured test scenarios, test cases and test coverage.

- Create mind maps and identify positive, negative, boundary and integration scenarios.

- Review existing manual test cases and identify opportunities for automation.

- Ensure adequate coverage of functional and regression requirements.

2. Test Automation :

- Develop, maintain and execute automated test scripts for Android applications.

- Convert defined manual test cases into reusable automation scripts.

- Maintain automation scripts and improve their reliability and maintainability.

- Execute automated regression and functional test suites.

- Analyze automation failures and identify whether failures are related to application defects, test scripts or environment issues.

- Contribute to improving automation coverage and reducing repetitive manual testing efforts.

3. Android Application Testing :

- Work with Android applications and understand basic Android application architecture and workflows.

- Understand Android-specific testing requirements and application behaviour.

- Execute functional and regression testing on Android applications/devices.

- Collaborate with developers to reproduce, analyze and resolve application issues.

- Candidates with hands-on experience in mobile automation will be preferred.

4. Test Case & Quality Practices :

- Follow testing best practices throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

- Participate in test planning, execution and defect verification.

- Identify defects, document them clearly and track them through resolution.

- Perform re-testing and regression testing after defect fixes.

- Maintain appropriate test documentation and reports.

5. Collaboration :

- Work closely with developers, QA engineers, product teams and other stakeholders.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies where required.

- Communicate test results, automation status, defects and risks effectively.

- Contribute to continuous improvement of QA and automation processes.

Mandatory Skills :

Candidates should have strong hands-on experience in the following :

- 5+ years of experience in Software Testing / Test Automation

- Strong programming fundamentals and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

- Python - Mandatory

- Hands-on experience in Test Automation

- Understanding of Android application testing

- Experience with Git and GitHub

- Good understanding of SDLC and software testing processes

- Ability to design test cases from requirements

- Experience in functional and regression testing

The candidate should be comfortable using AI tools to improve development, automation, debugging and testing productivity.
