Solafune is a technology company that tackles social challenges faced by government agencies, corporations, and international organizations using AI and data analysis. As our business grows, the scope of our technology projects is rapidly expanding, including government-related projects, joint projects with large corporations, and our own products and R&D.

The technologies required vary depending on the project, and often the necessary technical areas only become clear once the project is concrete, encompassing AI, Software, Data, Cloud, Security, and more.

Therefore, we are currently seeking a Software Engineer who possesses a foundation in Software Engineering/Computer Science, and who can quickly grasp new technologies as needed to advance development, without being limited to a specific technical area.

It's not necessary for one person to be proficient in all technologies. We expect each individual to have their own area of expertise, learn across disciplines as needed, and work as a team to solve a wide range of technical challenges.

Job Description

Depending on the project, experience, and expertise, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Software development for government and public sector projects
• Technical verification, design, and development for joint projects with large corporations
• Software development for in-house products and R&D
• System and application development combining AI, Software, Data, Cloud, etc.
• Design and development of APIs, backends, data processing platforms, etc.
• Series of development from PoC to implementation and operation
• Research, verification, and introduction of new technologies required for projects
• Collaboration with engineers, research teams, business side, etc.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Strong curiosity about technology itself and enjoys learning new fields
• Having expertise in one area, but able to work across those areas when necessary
• Ability to think independently and move development forward even when requirements are not fully defined

Requirements

• At least 3 years of practical experience in software development
• Basic knowledge of Computer Science / Software Engineering necessary for software development
• Experience in proactively leading development, including design and implementation, and experience in team development
• No resistance to reading and writing technical information in English, using translation tools, etc.

Preferred Experiences

• Development experience utilizing AI / Machine Learning
• Backend / Web Application development experience
• Data Engineering / Data Analysis experience
• Cloud development experience using AWS / GCP / Azure, etc.
• Development and technical experience in the Security field
• Development experience utilizing LLM / AI Agent, etc.
• Development experience using AI Coding Tools such as CloudCode and GitHub Copilot
• Experience in initiating projects in personal development, research, etc.
• Experience leading projects and development
• English oral communication skills
