SCADA Engineer II, EPC

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

• Execute the design and development of SCADA integration componentsand systems for utility scale renewable energy projects including Solar PV and BatteryEnergy Storage Systems

• Work within a team environment to define and implement product design standards and best practices that align with company goals and objectives.

• Review and implements project-specificrequirements for assigned scope.

• Generate device points lists, HMI mockups &assets, commissioning test plans andcompletion checklists, utilizing companydefined documentationand standards.

• Program and commission SCADAservers, data historians, andHMI systems.

• Review project closeout documentation including commissioning documents, as-built drawings, operator manuals andtraining material to verify all contractual deliverables have been met.

• Provide intermediatelevel technical support for diverse SCADAequipment configurations.

• Participate in technical discussions with customers and partners.

• Assist with maintaining a centralizedknowledge base.

• Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting of complex plant monitoring and control systems.

• Coordinate with customers and field technicians for on-site commissioning and installation support.

• Identify and learn appropriatesoftware and hardware used and supported by the organization.

• Collaborate with cross functional teams where necessary to support platformdevelopment and data integration.

• Provide project status reports to the OTS project management team, support risk mitigation measures as needed to maintain projectgoals and objectives.

• Promote and adhere to a culture of NERC compliance andgovernance with respect to programming and commissioning standards, documentation, reporting, knowledge transfer and training.

• Support the SOLV Operations centeras necessary for project integrations and handoffs.

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:

• 2 - 4 years of SCADA engineering experience (experience working within renewable energy including; industrial or utility scale PV solar, BESS, or Wind desired). Proficiency with programminglanguages including Python.

• Intermediate working knowledge of Inductive Automation’s Ignition SCADA platform.

• Intermediate working knowledge of relational databases, and SCADA applications.

• Familiarity withindustry recognized PLC equipment including but not limited to Schweitzer Engineering RTAC Platform, Allen Bradley Control / CompactLogix platform, GE / Emerson RX3i,or similar “named variable” PLC environments.

• Familiar with the installation and commissioning of SCADA networks using; FiberOptics, Serial RS-232 / RS-485, and Ethernet TCP/IP.

• Strong knowledge of industrial automation protocols including but not limited to; Modbus RTU/TCP, DNP3, OPC UA and DA.

• Proficiency in reading and developing diagrams and schematics including but not limited to, power system, networking and control, electrical, mechanical andcivil layouts.

• Ability to work with sub-contractors and field personnel.

• Proficiency withvarious project management, scheduling, andtask management tools.

• Excellent Communication Skills.

$96,000.00 - $120,000.00
