Founded in 2002, the company pioneered multi-room wireless audio systems, offering a product lineup that includes smart speakers, soundbars, subwoofers, and portable audio devices controlled via a unified software app. By integrating with major music streaming services and voice assistants, Sonos delivers synchronized high-fidelity audio solutions for residential homes and commercial spaces worldwide.

At Sonos we want to create the ultimate listening experience for our customers and know that it starts by listening to each other. As part of the Sonos team, you’ll collaborate with people of all styles, skill sets, and backgrounds to realize our vision while fostering a community where everyone feels included and empowered to do the best work of their lives.

This is a short-term, 12 month contract role.

This role is located on-site at one of our offices

This position is office-based, meaning regular in-person collaboration or use of office equipment is essential to maximize effectiveness for this team and/or position. Qualified applicants must live within commuting distance of our New York office and should expect to be in office 5 days per week.

About the Role:

The Studio Coordinator is part of the global Workplace team, overseeing the day-to-day operations of Sonos’ new creative studio and performance space in SoHo - a dynamic environment designed to host artists for live performances, listening sessions, film screenings, and other creative experiences.

This hands-on role manages studio and workplace operations, employee and guest experience, and space-related projects aligned with Sonos’ broader global real estate strategy. As the primary Workplace contact for local teams, you’ll help create a welcoming, productive, and well-run environment for employees, artists, and guests.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and people-focused, with a warm, proactive, and adaptable approach. You’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves, managing multiple priorities, and seeing projects through from start to finish while balancing the needs of the space, the business, and the people who use it.

Location & Schedule: This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position 5 days per week onsite in our New York City studio. There is no relocation or housing assistance for this position.

What You’ll Do:

Space & Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of both floors including the creative team workspace, conference room, kitchenette, and performance space
  • Manage vendor relationships, facilities maintenance, and supply inventory
  • Manage administrative and financial processes, including mail sorting and distribution, voicemails, employee support tickets, invoices, purchase requisitions, and expense reports
  • Serve as the on-site safety lead, supporting emergency preparedness and response, including building evacuations and coordination with building management and first responders
  • Manage shipping and receiving operations for domestic and international deliveries

  • Support the on-site Sonos team with workspace needs, conference room scheduling, meal ordering, and day-to-day office operations
  • Foster a studio culture that feels both productive and inspired

Technical Oversight

  • Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting all Sonos audio equipment throughout the space
  • Partner with remote IT/AV support to address issues with office conference rooms, meeting spaces, and employee equipment
  • Ensure sound systems are performance-ready at all times

Artist & Talent Relations

  • Help coordinate incoming artist performances and residencies - hospitality, technical setup, and post-visit follow-up
  • Assist the Sonos Radio Principle Curation Manager and the Global Events and Operation Manager as a point of contact for visiting talent and their teams
  • Assist in managing communications with artist managers, labels, and booking agents

Influencer & Brand Partnerships

  • Manage influencer visit logistics including product demos, content creation needs, and brand experience flow
  • Assist the creative production team with set-up for shoots or activations as needed

What You’ll Need:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience relevant to the role

Experience

  • 2+ years experience in an office management, event production, or studio operations role
  • Experience working within a creative team - agency, in-house brand studio, design firm, photo/video production

Core skills

  • Project management - tracking timelines, deliverables, budgets, and multiple concurrent projects
  • Organization & multitasking - juggling schedules, resources, and competing priorities across a creative team
  • Communication - liaising between creatives, clients/stakeholders, vendors, and leadership
  • Visitor/vendor coordination - booking influencers, press, photographers, stylists, printers, contractors, etc.
  • Software proficiency - Google Creative Suite, Google Sheets, Google Calendar and Google Docs especially, Adobe Creative tools, Figma
