The Physical Sales & E-Commerce Executive will support Sony Music’s growth of the physical market across Southeast Asia. The role will support the development and operation of physical sales channels for Vinyl, CDs and other physical products, working across both wholesale/distribution and D2C channels.
The role focuses on developing and operating sales channels, ensuring products are priced appropriately, inventory is forecasted and managed effectively, order are fulfilled and collected, and sales channels are maintained and optimised. This includes supporting the development of D2C infrastructure and storefronts using Shopify.
What you'll do:
- Develop and grow physical sales channels across Southeast Asian territories, supporting the sale of Vinyl, CDs and other physical products.
- Manage the day-to-day operational requirements of sales channels, including pricing, inventory management, forecasting, orders, delivery and collection of payments.
- Support the development and management of wholesale/distribution channels, working with local distributors and retail partners to increase physical distribution and sales.
- Support the development and operation of D2C sales channels, including the ongoing maintenance and optimisation of Shopify powered storefronts.
- Act as a key operational contact for local and international stakeholders, working across labels, artist teams, merchandise companies, distributors, retail partner and platform partners.
- Assist in the delivery of album launches, pre-orders, bundles and release activity across wholesale and D2C sales channels, working closely with artist, label and merchandise company partners.
- Oversee the operational flow of physical products into sales channels, collaborating with fulfilment, logistics and other partners to maintain high service standards.
- Support sales channel performance, contributing to sales targets, inventory optimisation, forecasting and commercial performance.
Who you are:
- 2+ years experience in a physical sales, e-commerce or online retail role.
- Strong hands-on experience managing sales channels and/or e-commerce stores.
- Sales and operational experience, ideally with physical music products or consumer products.
- Experience working with distributors, retail partners and D2C sales channels.
- Comfortable working across multiple projects, artists and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of sales performance, inventory and forecasting and using data to guide decisions.
- Highly organised, detail oriented, and confident working with numbers, spreadsheets, and Microsoft tools such as Excel, Teams, and Copilot.
- Hands-on Shopify experience.
- Familiarity with the Southeast Asian retail or consumer landscape is advantageous.
