SpaceNexus is a space industry intelligence platform run by SpaceNexus LLC that tracks launches, satellites, space stocks, funding rounds, contract awards and news for investors, engineers and analysts. The service, launched in 2026, offers profiles of more than 370 space companies, newsletters, an API, embeddable widgets and a space jobs section that aggregates openings from firms such as Planet and Varda Space Industries. Its job feed therefore lists third-party roles in spacecraft engineering, manufacturing, software, legal and operations rather than positions at SpaceNexus itself.

At Stoke, we believe a thriving space economy will enable a vibrant, sustainable, and equitable future here on Earth. That is why we’re building Nova, our fully and rapidly reusable launch vehicle. Designed for daily flight, Nova tackles the core challenges of space transportation by reducing cost, increasing availability, and improving reliability. By radically lowering launch costs and increasing flight cadence, we’re helping create a truly scalable space industry.

Our team is mission-driven, collaborative, and empowered to take ownership of their work. If you want to work alongside some of the most dedicated and talented people on Earth, we’d love to have you join us.

Description

The Facilities Engineer will support the engineering, design, operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of critical infrastructure systems that support rocket design, production, and testing. This is a hands-on engineering role requiring strong technical expertise, field execution, vendor negotiation and management, and the ability to make priority and data-driven decisions under pressure. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment where priorities evolve quickly, challenges are complex, and extreme ownership is expected. This individual will work cross-functionally with manufacturing, test, launch, EHS, security, operations, and leadership teams to solve infrastructure problems at scale while supporting rapid operational growth.

This position requires an engineer who is technically capable, detail-oriented, resourceful, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced development environment with aggressive schedules. As part of a small, well-supported team, you will have access to the resources you need to get the job done right while simultaneously boosting your skills at a pace that can’t be matched in most other roles. You must be ready to stay focused, move fast, self-direct, and learn on the fly.

Create and optimize data collection and monitoring systems that track system performance, process capability, reliability, and scalability

Create and maintain technical documentation, including engineering drawings, P&IDs, utility maps, infrastructure standards, equipment specifications, operating procedures, commissioning documentation, maintenance procedures, and system records.

Coordinate and oversee contractors and vendors, including project scoping, contract negotiation, priority and task management, and upholding safety standards and accountability

Support emergency response, incident investigations, root cause investigations, and recovery efforts associated with facility or infrastructure failures

Support the development of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies designed to improve system uptime, reliability, maintainability, and equipment life.

Coordinate and work directly with facility landlords, local government officials, permitting, fire department, utility providers, and vendors to coordinate and own tenant improvements, facility upgrades and repairs, and facility support
