Job Profile: Java Backend Developer L3

Location: Chennai / Mumbai, India

Experience: 5.1-7 years

The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer to join our client's Corporate Credits team. The role involves application development and maintenance, including designing, developing, testing, and implementing backend applications using Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, and Oracle technologies. The candidate will ensure code quality, application performance, and compliance with project standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

· Analyze business requirements, prepare technical specifications, and design, develop, test, and implement applications.

· Develop and maintain applications using Java, J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Oracle SQL, and PL/SQL.

· Perform application development and maintenance (ADM), unit testing, and contribute to regression testing.

· Ensure comprehensive unit test coverage using JUnit.

· Use Jenkins for DevOps activities and Maven for build management.

· Perform task estimation, planning, impact analysis, and proactive status reporting to management teams in Paris, India, and ISPL.

· Follow coding standards, development guidelines, architectural standards, and project quality processes.

· Conduct code reviews and maintain application quality.

· Work independently on assigned tasks and support developers and testers with technical queries.

· Prepare and maintain technical documentation in the project repository.

· Share technical and functional knowledge with junior team members and support their development.

· Contribute to technical interviews and recruitment activities within ISPL.

· Ensure efficient program development without compromising core architecture or design.

Must - Have Qualifications:

· Minimum 5 years of experience in Java backend development.

· Strong experience in Java 8 or above and J2EE.

· Strong hands-on experience with the Spring Framework.

· Strong experience with Hibernate.

· Strong experience in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.

· Experience with Bitbucket for source code management and version control.

· Experience with JUnit for unit testing and test coverage.

· Experience with JIRA for task tracking and project management.

· Experience in application development, maintenance, unit testing, and regression testing.

· Experience in code reviews, impact analysis, and technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor's or master's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computers, or an equivalent related qualification; MCA is also accepted.

· Experience with Jenkins for CI/CD and DevOps.

· Experience with Maven for build automation and dependency management.

· Knowledge of DevOps practices and automated build and deployment processes.

· Experience in application performance optimization.

· Experience in technical mentoring and knowledge sharing.

· Experience working in an Agile development environment.
