Director of Engineering

You will play a key role in shaping the architecture, scalability, and reliability of our core platforms. You will lead engineering teams, define technical roadmaps, and drive innovation in backend systems that power millions of customer interactions. This is a highly impactful role where your technical leadership will directly influence business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to all aspects of an agile software development lifecycle, including design and architecture, and lead the design.
• and development of highly scalable, distributed, and fault-tolerant systems.
• Own technical architecture decisions and guide teams through trade-offs and implementation strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (product, frontend, data, and DevOps) to drive end-to-end solutions.
• Mentor and coach engineers; review code and designs and provide thought leadership.
• Drive best practices in coding, design, testing, and deployments.
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies to keep the system ahead of the curve.

• Bachelor's/master's degree in computer science engineering, preferably from Tier I/II institutes.
• 10 years of experience in backend system design, development, and scaling distributed systems.
• 2+ years of experience leading a cross-functional team of 6-10 backend, frontend, and mobile developers and QAs.
• Proven expertise in system design (HLD + LLD), microservices architecture, and API development.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on expertise in one or more backend languages: Python (preferred) / Java / Go / Node.js / RoR.
• Deep understanding of SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/DynamoDB) databases.
• Experience in owning verticals, leading projects, and making architecture decisions at scale.
• Bonus: Experience in observability, security, performance optimization, and DevOps practices.
