We are looking for a Program Manager to lead software delivery programs and grow our client portfolio within the HMI & Consumer Electronics business unit.
The ideal candidate combines an engineering background with program leadership and commercial experience. You should be comfortable discussing technical solutions, building relationships with senior client stakeholders and translating business needs into new opportunities for cooperation.
You will take responsibility for program delivery and financial performance, while working closely with the Account Manager and Business Unit Director to expand existing accounts and develop new client relationships.
Requirements:
At least 10 years of experience in IT, including 4 years managing programs or large client accounts in software services
A practical engineering background in software development or systems design, with the ability to assess technical proposals and constructively challenge assumptions and estimates
Experience leading embedded or cloud software programs
Experience owning program or account P&L, including revenue, costs, margins and financial forecasts
A proven track record of leading successful proposals and converting client needs into new projects or expanded engagements
A solid understanding of Time & Material, Fixed Price, capacity-based and Build-Operate-Transfer commercial models
Experience building relationships with senior client stakeholders and contributing to account growth
Confidence in presenting technical and commercial proposals to senior management and leading discussions about delivery, value and investment
English skills at C1 level or higher
Nice to have:
Experience with embedded or HMI projects for consumer devices, automotive, industrial or medical applications
Familiarity with cloud architecture, AWS, Azure, IoT or device-to-cloud connectivity
Experience running a Build-Operate-Transfer program or a dedicated development centre
Experience in presales, solution consulting or new client acquisition
German language skills
Main responsibilities:
Lead a program of several projects for key clients, taking responsibility for delivery performance and business outcomes
Align project priorities, dependencies and resources within a coordinated program plan
Own program revenue, margin and financial forecasts, working with Project Managers to address delivery and commercial risks
Run steering committees and quarterly business reviews, presenting progress, financial performance and opportunities for further cooperation
Build relationships with client engineering managers, directors and senior decision-makers, understanding their product roadmaps and business priorities
Turn client needs into opportunities for new projects, additional services and broader cooperation across teams or business units
Co-own account development plans with the Account Manager and Business Unit Director, setting growth priorities and following opportunities through to decisions
Contribute to growing the client portfolio by developing new relationships and shaping initial engagements together with the Account Manager and Business Unit Director
Lead the proposal process from initial request to client decision, coordinating requirements, the proposal team, estimates, pricing and client presentations
Prepare materials for strategic client meetings and contribute to business unit planning, strategy and budgets
Lead and develop Project Managers within the program, establishing consistent standards for proposals, estimation and reporting
