As part of the client-facing arm of Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB), you’ll work alongside experienced bankers to help deliver integrated banking solutions, build client relationships and support strategic growth opportunities across markets.

With our unique international footprint, you’ll gain exposure to cross-border business, global clients and real-world banking challenges. You’ll work across teams, products and geographies while developing the commercial, analytical and relationship-building skills that underpin a successful career in banking.

Join us if you’re curious about how businesses grow, how financial markets operate and how trusted client relationships are built.

About the Internship Programme - how you’ll learn and grow

Join a skills-first organisation where your potential matters more than your background. Over 10 weeks, you’ll work on real business challenges, build future-ready skills, and gain insight into how we support clients, facilitate trade and finance growth across our markets. Working alongside colleagues across our global network, you’ll develop the skills, confidence and connections to accelerate your career. For many interns, this is the first step towards a graduate role with us.

The programme will support your development through:

  • A 10-week summer internship
  • A structured induction and orientation
  • Exposure to our products, clients and international network
  • Real projects and meaningful responsibilities from day one
  • Technical, professional and behavioural skills development
  • Support from managers, mentors and buddies
  • Opportunities to learn from senior leaders and industry experts

Where you could work

You will be placed into one of the following Coverage Banking teams, working alongside experienced bankers to support client relationships, business development activities and transaction execution across our global franchise.

  • Corporate Coverage: Support relationship teams managing multinational corporations, large local corporates and mid-market clients. You’ll gain exposure to financing solutions, transaction banking, capital markets activities and strategic client engagement while learning how long-term client relationships are developed and managed.
  • Financial Institutions Coverage: Work with teams covering banks, insurance companies, asset managers, sovereign entities and other financial institutions. You’ll gain insight into how financial institutions access financing, manage risk and utilise the Bank’s global capabilities to support their businesses.
