The Role:
As the Finance Controller for Sweden, you will safeguard the financial integrity of BMI Sweden legal entities and align financial operations with overarching business priorities. Serving as a trusted advisor to Senior Management, you will deliver actionable financial insights while ensuring complete adherence to all regulatory and statutory standards.
You will hold primary accountability for internal and external reporting quality, continuously refining systems and workflows to enable prompt data sharing that drives agile, informed business decisions.
Additionally, you will design, implement, and maintain robust accounting policies and financial controls, extending global governance across the broader BMI organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner closely with the Nordic MD, Nordic Finance Director, Central Finance, and GBS to lead end-to-end financial operations.
Guide finance functions through organizational transformation, building robust, efficient processes backed by strong internal controls and compliance framework.
Lead the execution of financial accounting, statutory reporting, technical accounting standards, and operational financial management.
Direct oversight of all corporate accounts, maintaining accurate, compliant, and properly documented financial transactions.
Manage and oversee the timely preparation of complete and accurate company financial statements.
Deliver actionable financial analysis, insights, and reporting to key senior stakeholders on a regular schedule.
Streamline accounting workflows and reduce month-end closing timelines to improve efficiency.
Serve as the primary contact for technical accounting inquiries, external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
Manage external audit processes, building strong relationships with audit partners and resolving all audit findings.
Implement BMI Core technology and process standards while actively participating in finance governance.
Strengthen shareholder relationships through collaborative engagement and clear reporting.
Your Experience:
A relevant university degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is ideal.
Proven track record in a comparable finance position, coupled with extensive experience in stakeholder management (a strong B2B background is preferred).
Experience working within a mature finance organization that incorporates Global Business Services delivery.
Deep expertise in accounting principles, financial analysis, local and IFRS standards, as well as Swedish tax regulations and accounting.
Hands-on familiarity with SAP/S4HANA and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) is highly desirable.
Strong proficiency in modern IT tools (especially Excel and Google Sheets) with comfort operating in a Nordic or international business environment.

Fluency in Swedish alongside excellent command of English.
