Reporting directly to the Senior Director North American Planning, the Supply Planning Manager is a pivotal leadership role. They will have overall accountability for leading the inventory planning strategy supporting our Canadian Supply Planning team. Key to this role will be to have overall accountability for identifying and optimizing operations and logistics solutions to ensure proper inventory and supply levels across the country. In addition, they will develop close working relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including marketing, sales and finance

What You Will Get To Do
- Passionately drive continuous improvement culture while implementing the strategic roadmap to achieve breakthrough performance in service level, working capital, quality, delivery, cost and growth
- Interact with sales, marketing and finance to better understand demand forecast drivers and work to maximize accuracy in planning and replenishment functions
- Lead as the voice of the BU at S&OP, Capacity Planning, NPP, and Team Meetings
- Facilitate Operations Report Outs
- Deploy Statistical Safety Stocks strategy from a systems (JDA) & process standpoint
- Navigate the business through short supply challenges
- Coordinate planning efforts and analysis for critical power tool component
- Support organizational alignment through the S&OP process
- Pursue continuous improvement within each of the planning processes
- Work with other Supply Chain, Marketing and Sales groups to achieve inventory and turns targets while ensuring Service Levels targets and growth targets are met
- Ensure streamlined approach for team when providing direction on production dates for new products or proposed promotions which support 100% fill rate
- Work with Marketing teams to manage product ttransitions and discontinuations
- Assure best-practice in inventory management and replenishment
- Coach the career growth of supply planning professionals with a focus on providing excellent service to our internal and external customers
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to create and continuously revisit a supply chain strategy to meet the evolving needs of the business and our customers
- Drive the development and execution of special projects across the supply planning team
- Clearly understand the Supply Chain operational and cost implications of the business strategy and implement this knowledge in all decisions
- Work effectively cross functionally with supply chain peer group in identifying, prioritizing and delivering on a wide range of projects and initiatives
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or a closely related field required
- 5+ years’ management and leadership in Supply Chain Management
- Advanced computer systems skill set & creativity (JDA, SAP, Excel, Access, Business Warehouse)
- Strong organizational, leadership/decision making, creative problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills are necessary to effectively convey goals and initiatives to team members and senior management
- Demonstrated ability to organize work in order to accomplish multiple and changing priorities within specified timeframes and operate at the strategic and tactical/detailed levels
- Proactive, energetic, professional self-starter with excellent collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Excellent numeracy, business acumen, financial analysis and IT skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and diverse business
