Senior Software Engineer II (Core Device Communicate)

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on C# developer.
• Modern. NET experience.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong OOP and coding fundamentals.
• Performance-focused development.
• Important: C#/. NET experience alone is not enough.
• Relevant Backgrounds: Good industries to source from: medical devices, healthcare technology, IoT, automotive, industrial automation, robotics, semiconductor/hardware, consumer electronics, device/software companies, and sensor-based products.
• C#/. NET + Windows Desktop + SDK/DLL/Class Library Development + Multithreading/Async + Device Communication.
• The key message for the team: Don't source a candidate just because they are a senior. NET developer. We need someone who has built Windows-based software, developed reusable libraries/SDKs, understands concurrency, and has worked with physical devices.

Windows Desktop Development (Must Have):

• Look for experience in Windows Desktop applications, WPF, WinForms, Windows SDK, Windows APIs, and C#/. NET desktop applications
• Avoid profiles that are mainly ASP. NET, Web API, REST APIs, microservices, Azure, React/Angular, Web application.

SDK / DLL / Class Library Development (Very Important):

• The candidate should have developed reusable software components, not just used them.
• Look for: Class Library development, DLL development, SDK development, Framework development, reusable/shared components, and libraries used across multiple applications.

Important distinction:

• "Integrated an SDK" candidate used an existing SDK.
• "Developed an SDK/DLL/Class Library" candidate built the reusable component. We need the second type.

Multithreading/Async/Concurrency (MustHave):

• Look for: Multithreading, Threads, Async/Await, Task, Parallel Programming, Concurrency, Locks, Mutex, Thread Safety, TPL / Task Parallel Library
• Prefer candidates who have actually used these in development projects.

Device / Hardware Communication (Must Have):

• Look for experience where software communicates with physical devices, such as: Bluetooth / BLE, USB, sensors, medical devices, IoT devices, embedded devices, hardware peripherals, device SDKs, hardware APIs
• Examples: Windows application Bluetooth medical device, C# application USB sensor, C# application Bluetooth IoT device
• The candidate does not need hearing-aid experience specifically.
