Guarding Sales Consultant

A reputable and well established security company is looking for a guarding sales consultant with experience in the security industry.

The role is focused on actively generating and closing new guarding business within an allocated territory. We are looking for a proactive, target-driven salesperson who is comfortable being out in the field and managing the full sales process.

We are looking for a genuine hunter who will actively drive opportunities, follow up relentlessly and take ownership of deals from first contact through to conclusion. 

• Prospecting for new guarding business through cold calling, door-to-door visits, networking and referrals.
• Managing and developing an allocated sales territory.
• Identifying opportunities within residential estates, businesses, schools, shopping centres, industrial sites and special projects.
• Arranging and attending client meetings and site visits.
• Conducting initial risk assessments.
• Preparing, presenting and following up on proposals and quotations.
• Negotiating and closing guarding contracts.
• Maintaining accurate daily CRM records and submitting weekly sales reports.
• Building strong client relationships and managing the sales process through to successful site start-up.
• Attending promotional events, park-offs and other targeted marketing initiatives.

• Proven sales and negotiation ability.
• Strong new-business development and cold-calling experience.
• Security or guarding industry experience would be a major advantage.
• Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills.
• Good planning, organisation and territory-management ability.
• Computer literate, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Fluent in spoken and written English; Afrikaans would be advantageous.
• Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence.
• Clear criminal record.
• Comfortable working towards firm monthly activity and sales targets
