Senior Software Engineer – Rust & Linux

We’re looking for an experienced software engineer to join our team in Prague. You’ll build embedded and industrial software for edge computing, primarily using Rust on Linux.
Strong software engineering experience matters more to us than your current language. Rust experience is ideal, and C++ experience is valuable, but neither is required. If you have substantial experience in other languages and are keen to work with Rust, we’d like to hear from you.
Your Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy software for embedded devices and industrial computers.
Take ownership of technical solutions, from understanding requirements and making architectural decisions through implementation and operation.
Work directly with customer engineers to clarify requirements, make technical decisions, and support integration.
Contribute to code reviews, share your experience, and help the team maintain reliable, maintainable software.
Work extensively with AI coding agents as part of our development workflow, guiding their work, reviewing and testing the results, and retaining ownership of technical decisions and software quality.
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of professional software development experience, including delivering and maintaining production software.
The ability to independently solve complex engineering problems, evaluate trade-offs, and take responsibility for your work.
A strong foundation in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, and operating systems.
Experience developing software on Linux.
A practical approach to software design, testing, debugging, and maintainability.
Clear communication and the ability to collaborate with colleagues and customer engineers.
Deep proficiency in at least one programming language and a willingness to learn and work with Rust.
Nice to Have
Professional experience with Rust.
Strong C++ experience; experience with C is also useful.
Experience developing embedded, industrial, or other resource-constrained software.
Familiarity with hardware interfaces and sensor integration.
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP, and tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.
Knowledge of networking and secure communication, including TCP/IP, UDP, and TLS.
You don’t need to tick every box. We value engineering depth, sound judgment, and the ability to learn.
