Who We Are Looking For
State Street Bank International GmbH (SSBI) is seeking a Managing Director to lead the Run-the-Bank (RtB) function, with full accountability for service oversight, leadership of the team, engagement with senior management, and direct interaction with regulators across SSBI.
The successful candidate is a senior technology manager with extensive leadership experience in IT operations, service management, third party risk management and European regulatory governance, including DORA.

This role holds ultimate accountability for the monitoring of performance, stability, and resilience of production technology services supporting SSBI.
It sets the strategic direction for Run-the-Bank operations, builds and leads a high-performing organisation, and serves as the primary point of engagement with senior management, executive committees, and regulators.
Organizational Structure & Reporting
- Reports to Head of IT for SSBI
- Holds overall accountability for the RtB function and directly leads the RtB leadership team
- Represents SSBI IT in executive boards and committees, and external regulators.
- Partners at the most senior level with Technology, Risk, Compliance, Audit and Business leadership through all lines of defense
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and hold end-to-end accountability for the RtB function
- Lead, develop and grow the RtB team inline with the SSBI strategy
- Act as primary point of contact for senior management and executive committees
- Own the relationship with regulators on specific SSBI IT topics (e.g. ECB, BaFin) and lead regulatory interactions and submissions
- Hold ultimate accountability for DORA ICT incident notification
- Ensure robust risk, control and governance frameworks across the RtB function
- Foster a strong culture of performance, accountability, and talent development
- Promote a strong relationship with the third-party service providers (internal and external) and monitor service delivery governance across ICA towers

- Proven track record in audit, control and direct regulatory engagement

- ServiceNow ITSM
- Microsoft Office
- Monitoring and reporting tools
Education & Experience
- 15-20+ years experience, including leadership roles
- ITIL certification
- Relevant degree or professional qualification
Minimum Salary:
zł426,000 AnnualThe minimum salary quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate ultimately works outside of this primary location, the applicable minimum salary may differ.
Salary will be determined based on factors such as the position, type of work performed, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and the quantity and quality of work delivered, as well as other objective and non-discriminatory criteria relevant to State Street employees.
In addition to salary, employees are eligible to be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards.
