YOUR ROLE

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Senior Product Engineer to join our team, specifically focusing on Silicon Carbide (SiC) products under the Power Transistor subgroup. The successful candidate will be deeply involved in the development of innovative power products, overseeing the entire product lifecycle from conception to obsolescence. This role requires a profound understanding of semiconductor physics, particularly in the context of SiC technology, power transistor structure and operation, as well as proficiency in electrical characterization and test methods. The Product Engineer will be responsible for defining testing programs, analyzing data to meet datasheet conditions, improving yields, managing test improvements, and supporting product change activities. A proactive and adaptable approach is essential, as the job demands the ability to switch between tasks and priorities according to the evolving needs of the projects. The role may require business trips to production plants or customers as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Development & Qualification: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new Silicon Carbide power products, ensuring they meet market demands and high-quality standards. Support the qualification and implementation of product material/flow changes, optimization, and site-to-site transfer.
  • Testing Program Management: Define, implement, and oversee testing programs for SiC products, including debugging and transitioning products to production.
  • Data Analysis: Evaluate testing data to establish specifications and boundaries for product datasheets, applying insights to enhance the development and strategic positioning of SiC products.
  • Electrical Characterization: Conduct thorough electrical characterization of Silicon Carbide power devices to ensure optimal performance.
  • Yield Analysis & Enhancement: Track and analyze yield data specific to SiC products, identifying opportunities for improvement and formulating plans to elevate product yield rates.
  • Customer and Plant Support: Provide technical support and expertise related to SiC technology to production plants and customers, including potential business trips for on-site assistance.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Solid understanding of semiconductor physics, with a focus on Silicon Carbide and power transistor structures. Proficiency in circuit analysis and basic statistics.
  • Experience with power transistor characterization, particularly in SiC technology, and power device test methods.
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor assembly/testing production processes is a plus.
  • Knowledge of programming languages is desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
