Responsibilities

Job purpose: The Application Engineer is responsible for providing Tier 2 production and non-production support for business-critical trading and enterprise applications across StoneX business units. The role focuses on incident management, application monitoring, troubleshooting, maintenance, customer support, and continuous improvement of application support processes.

• Provide Tier 2 support for third-party and internally developed applications.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for one or more applications such as Murex, TwoFour, or other trading platforms.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve production and non-production application issues.
• Support incident management activities and ensure timely resolution during production outages.
• Manage support tickets and service requests while meeting agreed SLAs and KPIs.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, development, and business teams to resolve issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Configure and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Develop and maintain knowledge base articles, support documentation, and troubleshooting guides.
• Participate in technical projects while maintaining daily operational responsibilities.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
• Provide technical guidance and escalation support to junior team members.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
