Position DescriptionThe ICQA - Operations Lead will be responsible for overseeing the handling of customer products, including the loading, unloading, picking, and packing of product. This leadership role will be responsible for assigning work and work functions to all warehouse associates as necessary to meet the needs of the customer. Following company and site-specific safety policies, and encouraging other associates to do the same, is of great importance to this position.
What You’ll Do
- Assign tasks to warehouse personnel through written and/or oral instruction, including: unloading, outbound staging and loading, verifying and labeling of freight, picking and packing.
- Supervise tasks performed by warehouse personnel.
- Complete reports and records in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot machine and equipment malfunctions and report them to maintenance personnel.
- Advise associates on care and preservation of product, use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, shipping stock, and related problems.
- Ensure high-quality customer service through assisting associates in warehouse functions when help is needed.
- Take action and speak to associates when proper safety, quality, and productivity procedures are not being followed.
- Work cooperatively and productively with other warehouse associates and leadership
- Adhere to company or site-specific safety policy and guidelines to ensure safe working conditions for self and others.
- Investigates inventory discrepancies.
- Investigates bin location variances.
- Research problem orders and receipts.
- Inputs data into Order management system.
- Performs system entries to maintain inventory and bin accuracy.
- Performs to quality standards in multiple functions.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- Strong work ethic and attention to the small details will ensure our operations continue to run smoothly
- Maintain accurate inventory counts
- Ensure quality assurance processes and procedures are followed
- Perform product counts
- Stage materials within designated areas
- Operate all necessary warehouse equipment and tools
- Utilize a warehouse management system to maintain appropriate work documents
- Move materials weighing 50 lbs or more at times
- Additional duties may be assigned by the supervisor.
What You'll Need
- Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Must be able to perform any physically exerting duties in a warehouse environment, which may be non-air conditioned or heated, meaning the indoor temperature fluctuates with the seasons.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Previous leadership experience.
- Experience working with a warehouse management system (WMS).
- Minimum of two years’ experience working with Order management system / inventory systems in a high volume facility.
- Possesses basic clerical and data entry skills.
- Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.
- Able to interact effectively with all levels of management.
- Able to transport up to 20 lbs. Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Able to recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Able to build solid, effective working relationships with others.
- Able to constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlines.
- Able to effectively use relevant material handling equipment (i.e forklifts).
- Able to express ideas clearly and convey necessary information.
- Occasional non-standard work hours or overtime as business requires.
