The role

You’ll lead the marketing team and deliver our marketing communications, working closely with sales and commercial teams to turn business priorities into effective campaigns.

Your focus will be on two key areas: growing existing customer relationships and building brand awareness in priority sectors. You’ll set the marketing direction, manage priorities and develop your team, while remaining hands-on with planning and delivery.

Strong communication and organisational skills are essential, alongside a collaborative and commercially minded approach.

Key responsibilities

Lead and develop the marketing team

Grow existing customer relationships

  • Work with sales and account management to develop customer communications plans.
  • Plan targeted email and organic social activity to strengthen relationships, encourage repeat business and increase customer value.
  • Develop audience segmentation based on customer sectors, interests and relationships.
  • Align marketing activity with commercial priorities.

Build brand awareness

  • Develop and deliver outbound marketing campaigns targeting priority sectors and decision-makers.
  • Create consistent messaging that communicates what makes us different.
  • Coordinate campaigns across relevant channels, measuring results and improving performance.
  • Travel to strategy days and client meetings in London and other UK cities as required.

Lead marketing communications

  • Own the organic social strategy, content planning and delivery.
  • Write and brief engaging, on-brand communications.
  • Manage marketing assets and resources within SharePoint.
  • Keep stakeholders informed of plans, progress and results.
  • Use AI thoughtfully to support marketing activity, applying judgement to ensure quality and accuracy.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience managing and developing a team, ideally across digital and creative disciplines.
  • Experience managing external agencies, freelancers or design partners.
  • Experience leading marketing communications from planning through to delivery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A commercial mindset and understanding of how marketing drives retention, growth and sales.
  • Strong knowledge of organic social, email marketing and audience segmentation.
  • Experience using HubSpot, including reporting.
  • Excellent organisation and project management skills.
  • Confidence using and managing SharePoint.

We are keen to consider candidates for either a 4 or 5 day week, with 1 day a week working from home on successfully completing the probation and training period.
