Technical Recruiter (Temporary)

Description 

The Technical Recruiter provides temporary 6-9 month coverage and is responsible for managing full-cycle recruitment for positions based in India while partnering closely with hiring managers to attract and hire exceptional talent. The role supports hiring across Engineering, Product, Customer Success, Sales, Marketing, and Corporate functions, delivering a positive candidate experience and helping ensure an efficient and effective hiring process.

Although hiring activities focus exclusively on India-based positions, the recruiter collaborates regularly with hiring managers and business leaders located in the United States and other global regions. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced technology environment.

In addition to recruiting, the role supports onboarding activities, recruiting operations, and other talent acquisition initiatives to ensure a compliant, efficient, and seamless hiring process during the contract period.

Responsibilities

• Manages full-cycle recruitment for India-based positions from requisition intake through offer acceptance.
• Partners with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and execute effective recruiting strategies.
• Sources, engages, and evaluates qualified candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, employee referrals, networking, and other sourcing channels.
• Conducts recruiter screenings to assess technical qualifications, communication skills, and overall role alignment.
• Administers and coordinates online technical assessments using platforms such as HackerRank, HackerEarth, Codility, or similar technical assessment tools.
• Coordinates interviews across multiple time zones while ensuring a positive candidate experience.
• Maintains accurate candidate records, interview feedback, and recruiting workflows within Greenhouse.
• Prepares offer documentation and supports the offer process in accordance with company policies and applicable Indian employment requirements.
• Coordinates onboarding activities and new hire documentation in partnership with internal stakeholders.
• Maintains recruiting metrics, analyzes hiring pipeline data, and prepares recruiting reports using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Partners with universities, internship programs, recruitment agencies, and other external talent partners, as needed, to support hiring initiatives.
• Supports campus recruiting, internship hiring, and early-career recruiting activities when applicable.
• Assists with recruiting operations, scheduling, reporting, compliance, and other HR-related administrative activities as needed.
• Identifies opportunities to improve recruiting processes and enhance the candidate and hiring manager experience.
• Maintains confidentiality and handles sensitive candidate and employee information with professionalism and discretion.

  Requirements

• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including technical recruiting within the software or technology industry.
• Experience recruiting for software engineering, product, cloud, AI/ML, infrastructure, SaaS, or enterprise technology roles.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent requisitions and supporting multiple hiring managers in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on experience with Greenhouse Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Strong proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, including Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Google Meet, and Google Chrome.
• Intermediate or higher proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, IF statements), filtering, reporting, and data analysis.
• Comfortable working in a MacBook Pro environment and learning new recruiting technologies.
• Experience administering technical assessments using platforms such as HackerRank, HackerEarth, Codility, or similar technical evaluation tools.
• Experience supporting onboarding activities, employment documentation, and offer administration.
• Working knowledge of India hiring practices, employment documentation, onboarding requirements, and applicable employment regulations.
• Experience partnering with universities, internship programs, recruitment agencies, or other external talent partners is preferred.
• Experience supporting intern or early-career hiring is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to occasionally adjust working hours to collaborate with hiring managers and business leaders located in the United States.
• Ability to work from the Chennai office on a hybrid schedule.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
