Position Summary

Strongpoint Partners is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Consultant Assistant to provide administrative support to Retirement Plan Consultants and assist with day-to-day retirement plan operations. This role supports client service activities and helps ensure plan-related tasks and projects are completed accurately and within established deadlines.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who is comfortable managing multiple priorities in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. This individual should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Following training, the successful candidate will be able to independently manage assigned responsibilities while providing responsive support to both Retirement Plan Consultants and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative and operational support to Retirement Plan Consultants.
  • Assist with client communications and follow up on outstanding information and documentation.
  • Collect and organize client census data and other plan-related information.
  • Assist with Form 5500 signature collection and filing processes.
  • Support distribution and loan processing, including gathering required documentation and tracking requests through completion.
  • Assist with account corrections and other plan administration activities.
  • Maintain accurate and organized client and plan records.
  • Assist with recurring plan administration tasks, reporting, and special projects.
  • Track deadlines and outstanding items to ensure timely completion.
  • Communicate with internal teams and clients to obtain information and resolve routine administrative questions.
  • Manage a high volume of tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years of administrative, client service, financial services, or related experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to learn new systems, processes, and retirement plan concepts quickly.
  • Ability to work independently after training while collaborating effectively with a team.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in retirement plan administration, financial services, employee benefits, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with 401(k) or other defined contribution retirement plans.
  • Experience with Form 5500 processes.
  • Experience processing retirement plan distributions, loans, or account corrections.
  • Experience working with retirement plan administration or recordkeeping systems.
